Played on tue 5 may,this local derby was tight as expected and played in front of a large crowd.A very strong wind could have made it a game of two halves but credit to both teams there was never more than two points between them.
Grange registered first with a michael kelly point.Cdermo equalised almost immediately with a gary hendy free.This set the pattern for the first half with the pick of the scores from mark brennan.At half time Grange were 0-5 cdermot0-4.
Cdermot started the stronger in the second half and constant pressure for the irst 15 minutes resulted in 4 points to one for grange.But grange started a fight back and dominated for the next 10 minutes, a excellent point from JJ Grace gave grange the leadon the 56 minute.The final minutes were again dominated by cdermot and they could have won the game.however the grange fullbacks held strong to come out with and the ball on three occasions and deny cdermot a win.
